The Golden Lion is a wonderful country pub, set in an 18th century stone inn, which overlooks the market cross in the heart of Osmotherly. Popular with locals and travellers alike, it has a reputation for top-notch food and was previously named in the Good Food Guide.

Osmotherly itself is a picture-perfect village that is set on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors and the ideal base camp to explore its beautiful surroundings. Close by you have some fantastic places to go for a stroll such as Cod Beck. Then once you’ve had your dose of fresh air and stretched those legs you can head back to Osmotherly for a well-deserved meal.
No matter what the season The Golden Lion is always welcoming; during the winter months, you will be greeted by a log burning fire and a cosy candlelit ambiance, while during the summer you can sit outside to enjoy the sunshine.
