The Prickly Pear Bistro is a hidden garden restaurant tucked away inside the TAD Centre on Ormesby Road in Middlesbrough. At first, it may be hard to find, but once you’re in on the secret it will become your favourite hideaway.
What’s Going On?
Inside is spacious, with huge windows stretching to the roof on one side, combined with plants and greenery throughout, making it easy to forget you are actually inside. There is also a stunning flower wall that takes up an entire side of the bistro, bringing that Mediterranean ambiance to life.
If you’ve been to the Ship at Redmarshall before, you will know all about their parmos, so it’s music to our ears learning they will be bringing the same amazing parmo menu to their new bistro. If you haven’t been before, you’re in for a treat, it’s a specially designed menu dedicated to the area’s favourite dish, consisting of 35 different parmos, taking inspiration from around the world. You will find parmo combinations you won’t find anywhere else such as the Bacon & Brie as well as the Shawarmo, sending you on a personal mission to try them all.
It’s not all about parmos though, at the Prickly Pear, you will also find lots of other tasty dishes that will take your fancy, from sesame chicken strips and hanging skewers to gyozas and Sunday roasts.
Their talented bartenders can also create beautiful custom-made cocktails to make your visit extra special.
